How To Stop Smoking Without Patches Or Clinics

Congratulations on your desire to quit smoking. You have already taken the first step in the process just by considering this simple method. The next steps are very easy to complete.

The most important requirement in quitting smoking is your determination to quit FOR YOURSELF without anyone prodding you. The process entails YOU determining why YOU want to quit. If you think about it there are many reasons that make sense, such as:

1. You will smell better (yes, smokers do give off an odor that most people find offensive) This will open possibilities for new friends who don't like smokers.

2. You will be able to taste food again without loading it up with salt and other junk.

3. You will breathe better. 4.You might avoid cancer and other diseases that affect your overall health,by quitting smoking you might live a longer, healthier life.

4. You will be saving a fair amount of money each month(from $50.00 to $150.00 or more).6.You won't have to have your better clothes drycleaned as often to get rid of the smell.7.You will feel much better about yourself.

5. You will look better(long term smokers have faces that look like road maps).


This list is enough to make you want to quit, and you might have others that are important as well, but how do you do it?

Simply get some 3 X 5 plain cardstock and write down the reasons in the first person, than read all the reasons on the card to yourself OUTLOUD, at least 100 times each day through out the day. Also read the entire card to your self silently another 50 times that same day. Continue to smoke as you had before, eventually your body will tell when to quit, in your own time. Start the reading with this sentence: I am glad I have quit smoking because: then list your reasons. Do it this way each time.

In a short while you will memorize the words (your mantra), and you won't need the card anymore. BUT YOU MUST CONTINUE TO READ AND SAY IT AND THINK IT AT LEAST 150 TIMES A DAY UNTIL YOU QUIT SMOKING..

A wonderful thing takes place as your conscious and subconscious mind receives the repeated information. Your mind will absorb the common sense ideas you are reading to yourself and will eventually remove your desire to smoke as it just won't make any sense after a while.

When the time is right, you will feel awkward pulling out a cigarette to light up, and you will eventually quit carrying a pack with you, in fact, you will feel silly even thinking about it. Some people have quit in two to three weeks, others might take four weeks or more, but don't give up, just keep at it, reading and saying the mantra out loud and repeating it silently until you are ready.

When you do quit, there will be no physical or mental withdrawal, it will just be over. It worked me, and for over 1600 other people I have personally taught the method to. I had been smoking 3 packs a day of Salem Menthols when I finally decided to I wanted to live longer. My own father had died from a severe case of breathing difficulty caused by a lifelong smoking habit and I didn't want that for myself.
